Nobody at Lennar seemed to know that there was an issue with a missing air gap in the dishwasher drainage line at 6111 Yeats Manor Drive. So I researched it for them.
Even though the dishwasher drain air gap is apparently required in many states, neither Mark Metheny nor Steve Smith of Lennar knew what it was.
Here is the email I sent with information on what the dishwasher drainage line air gap was and why it was important.
According to the article I referenced from the StarTribune:
The high loop or air gap must be used to prevent potential backflow contamination of the dishwasher. Local plumbing codes generally dictate the requirements in your area.
This was one of the many issues we were going to revisit during additional inspections and before Lennar basically went silent.
Note: As of the date of this publication, all the Lennar executives went silent and none of the construction repairs were ever made, including the promised replacements of two, improperly installed and defective A/C units causing extensive mold exposure and health issues.
