Water Damage in Utility Room – Cause is Defective A/C Unit

There has been extensive and ongoing water damage in the utility room at 6111 Yeats Manor Drive. The improperly installed A/C unit is just above this area as well as the improperly installed air box you can see in the picture above.

Here are some other pictures of the water intrusion over time as well as the falling insulation from an improperly installed attic chase which is a separate Lennar construction problem:

The A/C above this area has often flooded due to multiple mistakes during the installation back in 2013 by Lennar at 6111 Yeats Manor Drive in Tampa, Florida.,

Water damage caused by flooding of the A/C system above at 6111 Yeats Manor. Lennar has indicated that it was not installed properly in 2013. They have yet to replace it or indicate how the water and mold damage will be repaired.

Notice the insulation that is falling from the improperly installed attic chase by Lennar (formerly WCI Communities) at 6111 Yeats Manor Drive.

There are many construction issues happening in this area and they might be connected to the constant water intrusion in this area. There has been flooding on the wall of the electrical panel, which might explain the constant electrical issues, as well as extensive mold that has developed in the attic above. Additionally, the AV system you see in the pictures is the second one I’ve purchased and the second one that no longer works correctly.

Here is a video of leaking in the closet that the tankless gas water heater is installed (it has a ton of issues as well).

This is one of many issues that Lennar indicated would be fixed – including the mold growth – through repairs additional inspections. These inspections have never happened. I haven’t heard back from the three Lennar executives I was working with for months.

Note: As of the date of this publication, all the Lennar executives went silent and none of the construction repairs were ever made, including the promised replacements of two, improperly installed and defective A/C units causing extensive mold exposure and health issues.
